David Yokeum

David Yokeum has spent his time and effort traveling the world, talking to forwarders, and listening to their needs for over two decades. David had a vision that networking was the way forward for the independent logistics providers if they were to survive into the 1990s and beyond and offer a superior level of service.

In 1998, David launched the world’s first worldwide non-exclusive network, WCA First (formerly World Cargo Alliance). The network is neutrally managed, operated to benefit every member company, and has multiplied to encompass a range of networks and specialized services. With over 9,400 member offices in 190 countries worldwide, WCAworld is the world’s largest and most powerful network of independent freight forwarders.

With the unique advantages provided by WCAworld, EGLN members can take full advantage of the industry-leading benefits and programs developed over the past two decades by WCAworld.

Erwin van der Genugten

With over 30 years of distinguished service in the logistics sector, Erwin van der Genugten brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and contacts, as well as a track record of success, to his new role as Managing Director of EGLN.
Having commenced his career working in freight forwarding and ground handling businesses, Erwin became a key member of Emirates Skycargo’s team and, over the following 15 years, played a valuable role in the growth and success of the airline.

In 2012 Erwin joined WCAworld and immediately demonstrated his outstanding networking skills in his role of Regional Manager, Europe, based in our office in Amsterdam. With unbounded energy and a passion for ensuring members’ needs and requirements are not just fulfilled but exceeded, Erwin is determined that all independent forwarders in the group have every tool, benefit, and opportunity to succeed.

Engaging with members to understand their characteristics and needs and then connect them to the most suitable partners is another of Erwin’s key strengths. This skill only comes with experience.

As Managing Director of EGLN, Erwin is dedicated to developing and strengthening EGLN, in close consultation with the members, to ensure the network continues to thrive as the industry evolves.

With professionalism, integrity, and a member-focused mindset, Erwin is ready to assist all EGLN companies, whatever their needs or requests, and help maintain the network’s status as one of the world’s premier logistics platforms.

Brian Majerus

Brian Majerus brings the unique experience of having spent the past 15 years with World Cargo Alliance while previously working for ocean and freight forwarders for over a decade.

Having been on both sides of the fence, Brian knows what forwarders seek when joining a network and what the network's responsibility is in return. As Executive Vice President of Sales, Brian's daily responsibilities included global agent recruitment and retention for the networks that comprise the WCAworld. Through his efforts, Brian has recruited most of the US agents currently members of the WCAworld network. In addition, Brian is focused on ensuring EGLN members are satisfied with their investments. He does this by facilitating member connections, promising new partnerships, and creating visibility through nominations.

Brian will continue the unique DNA formed in the network by providing unmatched member support, facilitating network growth and global expansion.
